Leeds Bradford Airport has one main terminal which handles a small group of airlines. A selection of car hire companies are located in the terminal as you come through the walkway. Rail and bus tickets can also be purchased here and taxi stands are located at the front of the terminal building.
The Flyer bus network connects the airport with the surrounding cities and towns. The A1 runs to Leeds city centre every 30 minutes via Horsforth and Kirkstall, the A2 runs hourly between Bradford and Harrogate via the airport, and the A3 runs hourly between Bradford and Otley via Shipley and Guiseley. Buses generally operate from around 6am to 10pm, including weekends — if you’re landing late or flying early, plan for a taxi instead. Check the Flyer website for live timetables.
Getting in late? Why not rest at one of the many hotels for the night and go home refreshed the next day!
Find local transport that can take you back home quickly. There are many options such as buses, taxis and trains.
Arriving from abroad? Most travellers from the EU, US and other eligible countries can use the eGates at passport control, but note that EU national ID cards are no longer accepted — you’ll need a passport. Visitors who don’t need a visa now require a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), applied for online before travel. At customs you’ll choose between the green ‘nothing to declare’ and red ‘goods to declare’ channels. Information correct as of July 2026 — check gov.uk before travelling.
